Unforeseen changes and life events have a way of regurgitating unwelcome feelings like nostalgia. That is what led me to revisit and clean up some of my older (embarrassing) writings.
Taking a short sanity break (my sanity is petite,) from the news has given me some clarity and reminded me of my purpose in starting this blog. I meant to use it as a creative outlet, to write humor, and poems while I focused my efforts on writing fiction with a goal that I took my eye off of.
The neverending cycle of disappointments in politics, the endless line of politicians corrupted by greed who threaten our democracy, and the potpourri of horrifying news stories will be here tomorrow, next week, next month…
My point is that life is hard and sometimes you have to look harder for the humor. Peace and health to you.
