Pensive Parent

Guilty feels parent who tries to do too much

Suffusing disappointment on those whose lives they touch

Meaning well, said parent labors far and wide

Ergo spread thin, nothing works, despite the fact she tried

People have limitations in what they can achieve

Foreknowledge of this truism just might help relieve

Distress over the failures, missed deadlines, and so on

Sadly parenting works best in pairs—that finding is foregone
