For every life event, I’ve adopted a dog. I realized that with Simone, 12 years, 11 months old, my divorce dog.

The shelter where I found her told me she was a “breeder release.” I didn’t think to ask why, because it wouldn’t have mattered. She was deaf with bad hips. She was a 4 lbs three-month-old when she shined her light on me.

Simone has a had ruff year. She has been as sick as a dog. Her light dimmed. I won’t go into detail, but I wanted to share her launch into doggy heaven.

She sailed over the rainbow to be with our old friend Phoebe. She’ll meet Loretta for the first time.

Dog heaven has a new angel today.
They really wrap those tiny paws tightly around our hearts don’t they? I am sorry for your loss.

Virtual hug. I share your tears. Simone no longer has hip issues and will be able to hear your voice when you call her. She is with you even though you can’t see her. Your love is eternal.
