This Has Not Been My Favorite Week

I can’t seem to pull my thoughts together this week. It’s my ACDC, or maybe it’s the overwhelming amount of political criminal behavior in the news that has gotten to me. The bad guys are winning—for now.

This story is heartbreaking. Video footage of the murder of a 25-year young black man, Ahmaud Arbery, jogging in the early afternoon went viral. Arbery was shot three times, by an ex-county police officer and his son, while a third man drove behind the jogger filming the incident and preventing his escape. The third man can be heard cocking his gun. Arbery’s murderers are white.

Public outrage generated by the video forced the hand of the district attorney’s office who now claim that seeing the video prompted them to make the arrests of the father and son. It was the public viewing of the video that forced the arrests. An alibi had been concocted that a string of burglaries was committed in the area by someone who fit the description of the jogger. No such burglaries occurred.

Seventy-four days passed before the arrests of the father and son. The third suspect is under investigation as are the prosecutors who failed to take action against their former employee. They had ruled that there was no crime.

Last week we talked about hospitals reporting that federal agents were seizing their supplies. Now we know why.

This next story didn’t surprise me at all, but it angered me to a point that I momentarily lost consciousness (luckily I was sitting down with my feet up,) and had to be resuscitated with a little can of sparkling rose’, a big slice of vegan chocolate cake. Then I cranked up my heated mattress pad and put myself to bed. I was that mad.

Brandon Van Grack, a highly respected Department of Justice attorney, the lead prosecutor in the case of Michael Flynn, withdrew from confessed traitor Michael Flynn’s case minutes before Attorney General Bill Barr filed a motion to dismiss. Although it appears Flynn is off the hook, this is not a done deal, a judge still has the final say. Which judge?

Attorney General Bill Barr’s announcement of Flynn’s exoneration is a blatant disregard for the constitution. Flynn is, by every definition, a traitor. His long list of crimes against the US was pushed aside when he made a plea deal to cooperate with Robert Mueller early in his investigation.

Flynn, Trump’s former national security adviser, pleaded guilty to lying about two conversations with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak:

In December of 2016, Flynn promised Kislyak that newly imposed sanctions against Russia, by President Obama, for their interference in the 2016 election, would never be enforced. That wheeling and dealing with foreign entities, before the jackass was inaugurated, was undermining the current administration, which is illegal, and Flynn lied about it to the FBI.

Flynn also admitted that he lied when he said he didn’t remember that Kislyak replied that if true, Russia would “not take retaliatory measures.”

Flynn admitted that he had consulted “senior members” of 45’s team on what to tell Kislyak. He reported both conversations to a “very senior transition official,” unnamed in court documents.

Michael “lock her up Flynn” who is guilty of far more serious crimes, confessed to lying twice, and in return, his traitorous spawn was not indicted and he was promised the recommendation of an absurdly minimal sentence. He has not, and will not, spend a single night in prison because there is no law in Trump’s America.

Remember when Trump said that Flynn lied to Pence, so he had to fire him.

*Spoiler*

Pence already knew everything, and he still does.

In December of 2018, when Flynn tried to retract his guilty plea, Federal Judge Emmet Sullivan, who had seen all the evidence and was to sentence Flynn, told him “arguably you sold your country out.” And sentencing was postponed.

Michael Flynn’s indictment was not based on a technicality. He was getting off easy.

Bill Barr, Trump’s Attorney General, has been busy. In addition to his work to exonerate Flynn, and Stone before that, he lied about the contents of the Mueller report and withheld it for a month before allowing congress and the public to see a heavily redacted version. Congress has been fighting to get the un-redacted version and corresponding evidence.

Acting on the request of the Attorney General, Chief Justice John Roberts has paused an order requiring the Trump administration to give Congress Robert Mueller’s documents. If not for Barr’s obstruction of justice, Congress would have been given the full Mueller report as soon as he submitted it.

I wish Mueller would speak up.

REPORTER: “How will history look back on your decision to drop charges against Flynn?”

BILL BARR: “Well, history is written by the winners. So it largely depends on who’s writing the history.”

Someone must tell Fred Flintstone that in today’s world of internet communication the truth will dictate history.

“By dropping the case against Flynn, the Justice Dept lost 50 years worth of ground in maintaining its independence post-Watergate.

Once again, Bill Barr is doing Trump’s dirty work.

And once again, Barr has undermined the legitimacy of our justice system and the rule of law.”~ Adam Schiff

😍I LOVE ADAM SCHIFF!👈🏻exclamation point.

In response to Bill Barr’s bullshit, Adam Schiff has released transcripts that show Michael Flynn for the traitor he is. Story link below.

Is it possible that Trump’s regime will be taken down by a Democrat hoax Chinese virus? Wouldn’t that be ironic.

Trump hasn’t shown any sympathy for the Americans who have died because of the ”the democrat’s hoax” virus.

COVID19 related deaths in the US:

  • 76,000 and climbing,
  • 2976 died on September 11, 2001.

Karma may work slowly, but she will be thorough, and she’s just getting warmed up. The following White House Staff have been infected with COVID19:

  • Trump’s Personal Valet (fancy title for the guy who brings him his hamberders.)
  • Pence’s Press Secretary Katy Miller (married to baby cager, Steven.) Steven Miller is self isolating, and some reports say he has tested positive. This would mark the first case of human to bat transmission.
    • Ivanka Personal Assistant tested positive.
    • 34 Secret Service Agents have tested positive. 11 currently have the virus, 34 are recovered, and several others are in quarantine. (Why are we just now hearing about this?)

I hope the good people mentioned above recover without suffering— the good people. The probability of the infection spreading to everyone in the White House will be unmasked soon.

Speaking of unmasked, the day after he received the information that his food taster has the virus, Trump met with surviving veterans of WWII, all in their 90’s. He did not wear a mask, neither did they, likely out of respect for his authority. The vets stood downwind. His press secretary responded to questions about this by saying essentially that the vets weren’t forced to attend.

Trump has not cancelled plans to host GOP senators for lunch in the White House despite coming in close contact with coronavirus-infected valet.

One last item. Here is a list of the large corporations who took government COVID19 relief money intended for small business, leaving none for the small businesses.

The bad guys may be winning this week, but tomorrow is another week.

    1. Not that I don’t have (some) hope but….there is nothing preventing the USA from becoming a dictatorship. Period. The half of government that doesn’t agree with the tRump administration seems to be paralyzed. Is it that they don’t dare DO anything – except squawk about it? Is it possible that they CAN’T do anything, that the US ‘laws’ allow for these incredibly unpatriotic and self-serving actions that have brazenly taken place since the inauguration of tRump and the appointing of his asskissers and family in powerful seats of government? If half this country (government) have NO power, we are fucked. And it appears to me that this is exactly the case; for what other reason has there been no progress in stemming the gross incompetence, thieving, lying, bleeding the people of this country of any shred of truth, justice, hope for them/ourselves? I believe we are thoroughly fucked and I’m just hanging out here on earth, plodding along to witness the complete annihilation of democracy, human rights, freedom/liberty and a majority of the US population (through disease, poverty, murders, suicides, escaping the country). I really don’t have hope that this deluge of criminal behavior by the government upon the people will end any time soon – doubtful about the next election, IF there is an election. I believe that this administration and this pandemic is the beginning of the end.

      1. I agree with most of what you are saying. Democrats have to do more to end this. Why do the Democrats play by the rules when the GOP sets them on fire? We have enough evidence on every single one of them to justify arrests.

November is a long time to wait for an election when everyday something else happens. If we do last until November who is to say our election will be fair, and if it is fair, and if people actually vote, who is to say jackass will leave office.
This has been a very depressing week. I know I’m not the only one feeling it.
It’s like we are living out the Hunger Games.
We have to hope that we can turn this around. I need to stay optimistic for what’s left of my sanity, and I hope that Churchill’s words are true again.

“Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.”~ Winston Churchill

        1. I guess the bottom line is this: even when a democracy is conquered by a dictator, people survive; plenty of unhappy people in Russia, N. Korea, etc. to testify to the fact that our conversion here in America is not the end of life. It’s just the end of freedoms as we, Americans, know them.

    2. Giving up in not the answer. Ho-Chi-Minh never surrendered. His nation beat France and the United States with low tech weapons and persistence. Guerilla warfare can be very effective especially in a nation that no longer has laws like the United States under Barr and Trump.
There was a Revolutionary War, There were men who once said “Give Me Liberty or give me death!” And “My only regret is that I have but one life to give for my country”.
Running to Canada or elsewhere is not the answer. Stand and defend and die if it comes to that but do not run.
Democracy also has a major ally…the corona virus and right now the corona virus is all over the current despot’s residence. The clock is ticking.
Never lose faith and always fight.

        1. have you seen Michael Moore’s Planet of the humans on you tube? Trump is small fry compared to the issues this film discusses. It is free on youtube. Worth watching but of course he is catching lots of criticism as they attack the messenger.

        2. I am speechless after watching that. I had so much respect for Al Gore, I feel like a fool. We really are lied to on every front. What can we do? I’m going to plant a tree.

        3. Al Gore and Bill McKibben were a shock for me. The lady and her statement about the pollution of Lake Superior put a lump in my throat. The incineration of trees really got to me. No trees, no air. It is madness. I don’t know how much we can do if man doesn’t stop polluting, consuming, and over populating. I worry about corona virus but the rising temperature, melting ice caps, destruction to the planet and man’s survival on it seems a greater problem/issue. If we all do our small part maybe that is all we can do (and not buy from corporations and consume less).

        4. By the way, your post is excellent. I am rereading it this morning.
In my original comment it was after reading KC. I empathize with the despondency but I can’t let it get to me then trump does truly win. I can’t go that way.
enjoy and look forward to your blog. Keep them coming. stay safe
