“Paris is a woman, but London is an independent man puffing his pipe in a pub.”
Jack Kerouac, Lonesome Traveler

Anchorage is a soccer mom who can see Russia from her house; Chicago is a guy named Joe, wearing a faded Blackhawks t-shirt, washing Cheetos down with a Schlitz beer, and flipping through tv channels from his La Z Boy recliner; Colorado is a white kid with dreadlocks and the munchies; Dallas is a blonde tanorexic with big hair, acrylic nails and a home bedazzling kit; Des Moines is a pudgy old guy in overalls chewing a long piece of grass; Los Angeles is a couple in a baseball cap, sunglasses, and delusions that people care who they are; Miami is a retired guy named Sal who’s pants reach his armpits; New York is a waiter who aspires to act; Portland is a twenty two year old woman with long straight purple hair, too short bangs, and a nose ring; and Washington DC is guy in a suit with no personality.
Lydia, Judgemental Traveler.
