The First Day Home

Sleep feels so good

Feeding my exhaustion

4am

The sound

Crying

Confusion

It’s a baby

A baby in my house

Clarity

I have a baby

That’s my baby crying

Which means

I’m a mom

That crying baby

Is mine

Time to be

A mom

I will sleep

When I’m dead
