Adventurous
Dog off the lap
A dart and map
Like a balloon caught in the winds flow
Suitcase in hand
Where will I land
When a postcard arrives you will know
Humanitarian
Travel to far away lands
Offering a helping hand
To the poor and the sick and oppressed
Not offering a dish
But teaching to fish
This old ideology is still the best
Sociable
Cash burning a hole
In a pocket I’m told
Is to have a disposable income at hand
As Gatsby had it
I too would commit
To soirees weekly with a jazz band
Revolutionary
To supersede the way
The world works today
An entirely impossible feat
History is quite telling
With wars and rebelling
Leaders change but the wrongs don’t retreat
Perpetual
Who I was before
While a bit of a bore
It’s who I will stay for now
A working mother
Of whom like many others
Daydreams will suffice somehow

Daily Prompt
New Skin
If you could spend the next year as someone radically different from the current “you” — a member of a different species, someone from a different gender or generation, etc. — who would you choose to be?
Sure footed with the rhyme , punchy with pace, and well placed particulars
Regards,
Doug
