If a tree falls in the forest, and no one is there, does it still make a sound?
This question falls into the categories of philosophy, and quantum physics… Really? Yes- shut up.
Let’s review my qualifications to ponder this subject:
I am of Greek origin.
What is philosophy? The word comes from the two Greek words: Philia is the Greek word for ‘love’, sophia is Greek for ‘wisdom; Philosophy means: “love of wisdom”.
To understand this better, let us consider that not everyone who is knowledgeable has attained the key to wisdom. Some highly educated people have not found the key to wisdom, while some have acquired the key with very little formal education. Clearly there is a difference between knowledge and wisdom. What exactly is the difference between the two?
I contemplated this riveting thought as I recorded my own corresponding thoughts regarding said subject into the notebook on my phone for posterity, as I walked down the FOUR steps outside the back door of my house in my forest-y neighborhood…
Damn it all to hell! I hate math!
There are FIVE steps outside the back door of my house in my forest-y neighborhood…
I missed the last step, which resulted in a swan dive. I went flying and landed hard, flat out on my left hip. My house keys which were in my pocket, and my left wrist broke my fall… or tried to.
I immediately did what most philosophers would do. I looked around to see if there were any witnesses to this slapstick comedy act—
No.
Next I ascertain the level of pain I’m in. On a scale of 1-10 with ten being the worst…
I’m so mad at myself!
This was the birth of my study, the goal of which was to attain the golden key of knowledge for myself and with said knowledge, answer the age old question regarding the tree that falls in the forest where there are no witnesses who can laugh at it.
My congruent analysis:
If you fall down a flight of stairs, but there is no one around to see or hear you do it, can you break a hip or wrist?
My hypothesis is:
No, but you could possibly develop a huge bruise in the shape of a key.

Thank you. I did write most of it yesterday when i really did miss my last step and landed on my side. I tweaked it and tried to make it fit the prompt. 😉
