Table For Two

A table for two
Would be something new
But something I’d like to try
A table for three
Occasionally
Less intense but I’m not gonna lie…

If one is too chatty
It does drive me batty
In that case a large group is good
In such an instance
I’d require no assistance
To ignore them without seeming rude.

With an ideal companion
In my humble opinion
One on one conversation would be best
Must be fun and smart
Have an interest in art
Does such a person exist?

Counting Voices
A lively group discussion, an intimate tête-à-tête, an inner monologue — in your view, when it comes to a good conversation, what’s the ideal number of people?

    1. This was either the most neglectful post so far, or I have begun to lose hope. Now that I am aware of the danger, I will make a conscious effort to mention Colin Firth in every post. Thank you loisajay for the wake up call.
