To be read by millions is my choice,
over the admired obscure novelist.
I know this because,
at the end of the day,
week and month,
I obsessively mourn
my stats on WordPress.
They read like a grocery list,
and I am in need of more:

DAILY PROMPT
A Bookish Choice
A literary-minded witch gives you a choice: with a flick of the wand, you can become either an obscure novelist whose work will be admired and studied by a select few for decades, or a popular paperback author whose books give pleasure to millions. Which do you choose?
Sharing is caring.
How are things progressing with home though? alright I hope?

Thanks for asking Andy. The bathroom is still almost finished. The builder has become very busy. I’ve taken a back seat to a bigger better paying job. He says today or tomorrow. I’ll definitely post some after pictures if it’s ever finished. It will be nice to take a shower!

I published a book about 7 years ago. My intention was to leave a family legacy for my grandchildren. It was a memoir. I think I sold about 100 copies and most of them were purchased by me. My goal was met, however, in that I now have something to give my grandkids that tells them about life and their grandma.

That’s wonderful! Is there a link on your blog for your book? I’m sure you could sell a few that way. More info please!
My goal is to write a complete novel and publish. I’m working on it, but who knows if it will happen. All I can do is keep trying.

The name of my book is “stages – a Memoir” by Kathy Boecher and is available on Amazon.com. It is not really a link, but shows on my about page. You can do it. It took me seven years to write mine, because of a lot of difficult memories it brought back. It was very cathartic though. Keep working on it. Follow your dream!
