Now Boarding

Work and travel hand-in-hand have rendered me psychotic.
The list of things that make me cringe is really quite chaotic.

The copious amounts of time
I spend flying is insane.
Common sense in short supply when people board a plane.

While boarding and de-planing
I can’t watch the general masses.
Every aisle seated head is hit
from bags held by jackasses.

When people try to fit a bag
in a place where they should not:
I wince, cringe, and look away, thinking
Why’d you choose that spot?

There’s a bigger spot just one step back;
if you’d turn around you’d see.
I just can’t watch this any more.
Why must you torture me.

The morgue could use your
carry on as a body bag.
A human corpse with room to spare;
I’m raising a white flag.

With eye shades I can’t see you struggle
as I know you will.
Foam plugs securely in my ears
Don’t make me take a pill.

Now check your bag then take your seat.
We’ve all suffered for your causes.
Next time you travel from your home
leave something in your closet.

Can’t Watch This
When was the last time you watched something so scary, cringe-worthy, or unbelievably tacky — in a movie, on TV, or in real life — you had to cover your eyes?
